Breaking the debt cycle
Research by the Financial Conduct Authority found that around 6.8 million people were in need of debt help, but avoided taking it due to the embarrassing feeling, and even stigma attached to the word debt. When seeking debt advice, it’s important to remember that your debt advisor is there to help; they’ll assess your situation and aim to offer a way out.
Debt Awareness Week aims to break the stigma of debt and encourage the use of debt advice before reaching the stage where your health and wellbeing is affected, which we understand is easier said than done.
